Freshman Treveon Graham scored a career-high 18 points and Virginia Commonwealth opened the second half on a 14-2 run to take control Tuesday night in a 68-49 victory over Alabama-Birmingham.
The Rams (8-3), who also got 16 points from Juvonte Reddic, won their fifth in row, again using their stifling defense to wear an opponent down. UAB turned the ball over 23 times, including on three consecutive possessions after halftime as VCU scored 11 straight.
